Copy repository name

Jeff Jensen 6 years ago updated by Daniel Siegl 2 weeks ago 8

We can copy branch name but not a repository name (if that feature exists, I could not find it).  Please have Ctrl+c copy the highlighted repo name.

Working with many repos I regularly need to message someone with a repository name and branch name; copying the branch name works nicely but must type the repo name.

There is a work-around: open the rename dialog for the repository, and copy from there.

Submodule''s name can't be copied in this way

Another useful menu option on a selected branch is "Copy with Repo Name" to have both in one copy.

It would be handy to have SmartGit command for (sub)repo name copying, with default shortcut Ctrl+C

I'm not sure which version this started working in, but I have been copying the repository name with Ctrl+c for some years now.  Can @Syntevo mark this complete?
