Remove file from commit
Sometimes I accidentally add a file to a commit when I don't mean to. I haven't pushed the commit yet, so I'd like to be able to edit the commit and select 'remove file from commit'.

Can you please give more details on where you would expect to see this functionality? I guess the Log Files' view would be the appropriate place?
Yes. If I double click on the entry in the Journal, it brings up the Log window. In the Files panel, I'd like to be able to delete a file from there (I still want the changes to be in the filesystem though so I can commit them later).
So basically you want a GUI version of this? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12481639/remove-files-from-git-commit
