It's good to know precisely what that is, and how to get more information about it.

In terms of this RFE, it strikes me that you still could consider the phrasing of that prompt - an easy change to add the word SmartGit there.

There _are_ all sorts of passwords that might be needed at that time (at least: the SmartGit one and the github one, maybe the users vault as well) and it is ambiguous which it is.  

For sure a more observant user than me might look into the blue (i) ... but with a wording change you could obviate that needl

You're right - it does appear to remember.   I wonder what circumstances would revert it ... I definitely bump into this from time to time, yet don't recall clicking just "Add Branch".   In any case thanks for acknowledging, and I will watch more closely if/when I lose the "remembering".
