I'm currently facing the same problem using 22.1.7 and I wonder if this has ever been fixed or if there's a workaround.

I'd like to use SmartGIT in a project with customer provided (mandatory!) git hooks to

check and process files and prepare preformatted commit messages.

It would be nice if the generated commit message would be transferred automatically

into the SmartGIT commit GUI messagebox.

Yes that's what I meant.

This way I could specify (and copy&paste) the settings for the diff tools:

%ProgramFiles%/Araxis/bin/compare.exe

Which I found more convenient than clicking and searching for it.

However it's a convenience feature... not a high prio thing.
