This is complete!  The addition of Repositories, Branches, and Commit Message views to Log window is a fantastic change and works great.  I have only used the Log window for many weeks now.  Thank you!

I think this RFE is complete with the new Log window changes in 18.2.

Which version are you using?  It does this for me in 18.2 preview.

Regularly I want to quick search for something while looking through diffs.  Nice if the Changes view had a Find feature.

Same here!  Especially now with opening multiple repos on the log window, it's now "the main window".

As I wrote, I cannot use the feature you "implemented the option a few months ago!" as it doesn't allow looking at commits files and diffs to find the correct commit.

To find the correct commit, I wrote that I use the "Commits, Files, and Changes views".  

The "Select from Log..." option currently offers no value to me.

I also use the Commit Message view a lot, composing most commits in it.  Perhaps a button or something on the hamburger menu or context menu?
